Mary Darlene Keown, age 74, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Friday, (July 17, 2020) at her residence.

She was born on October 13, 1945, in Hardin County, KY, the daughter of the late Noah Edgar and Sylvia Catherine Clark Cripps.

She was a housewife and homemaker, who enjoyed sewing (especially baby quilts), cooking, gardening and feeding her animals. She was a member of the East Grayson County Fire Board and the St. Paul Catholic Church.

She is survived by her children, Allen Keown and his wife, Linda of Leitchfield and Angie Lampton and her husband, Junior of Big Clifty; three grandchildren, Samantha Byerline, Matthew Lampton and Carter Keown; one great-grandchild, Lora Byerline, one sister, Anna Louise Alvey of Georgetown IN and one brother, Michael Eugene Cripps of Big Clifty KY, her
Fur baby, "Rusty" and an honorary daughter, Cari Johnson of Leitchfield and a special friend, Helen Clemons.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Virgil Keown and two brothers, John Bernard and Harold Cripps and one sister, Catherine Harp.

Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (July 20, 2020) at the St. Paul Catholic Church. Burial will be in the New Hope Church of Christ Cemetery.

Prayer service will be Sunday evening at 6:00 PM

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. till 10:30 a.m. Monday until time of services.
