Obituary
Mary Lucille Newton, age 79, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 20, 2016) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.
She was born on July 22, 1937 in Millwood, KY, the daughter of the late Eugene and Sudie Lee.
She was a retired kitchen manager at Grayson Manor Nursing Home, who enjoyed cooking, canning, being with her kids, and grand kids, and was a member of 7th day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her sons, Roger L. Newton (Carla Throop), from Lebanon Junction, KY, Mark E. Newton (Jearlene), and Marvin Newton (Melissa Fentress); from Leitchfield, five grandchildren, Robert, Chris, Everett, MaryAnn and Heather; six great-grandchildren; one sister, Lavon Odle (Harold), from Millwood.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Newton; three brothers, Elmer, Otis and Paul Lee; five sisters, Fredie Lee, Martha Vincent, Clara McCord, Ercie Everett and Zelma Dennis; and one grandson, Scott Newton.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday, (December 23, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Deacon Estell Hodge will be officiating. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
