Mary Thomas Glenn Searcy, age 82, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (January 17, 2008) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

She was born on July 21, 1925 in Grayson County KY, the daughter of James Alden and Virginia Belle Stevenson Glenn. She was retired from Central Kentucky Community Action and also worked and was actively involved with The Record, she was a Kentucky Colonel, a member of Leitchfield Eastern Star, the Leitchfield Women's Club, Grayson County Rotary Club, charter member of the Twin Lakes Chapter of the Business and Professional Women's Association, Grayson County Democrats, and was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

She is survived by one daughter, Jenny Searcy of Leitchfield, KY, three sons, James Daniel (Betty Rose) of Columbus, Ohio, Thomas Allen (Kathi Riggs) of Hazard, KY, and Murhl Lee Searcy (Scott Austin) of Louisville, KY, five grandchildren, Nic, Heather, Chelsea, T. J. and Danny Searcy, one brother, William Murl Glenn of Rockport, IN, three sisters, Marjorie Woodard, Hazel Embry and Fran Abel (Tom) all of Leitchfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Lindsey Searcy and one brother, Douglas Wayne Glenn.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday (January 20, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 12:00 noon to 9:00 p.m. Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
