Matthew Allen Turner, age 40, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (August 2, 2011) at his residence.
He was born on November 18, 1970, in Butler Co., KY, the son of Erdest and Bulah Embry Turner. He worked at Campbell Hausfield and was a member of the Free Union Independent (Old Decker) Church.
He is survived by two sons, Matthew D. and Deandre Turner both of Caneyville, his mother, Bulah Turner of Henderson, KY, his brothers and sisters, Ervin of Caneyville, Virginia Phelps (Bobby), Hubert Turner (Cindy), Roy R. Turner (Linda), Robert Turner (Janice), Elaine Herring, Evelyn Barre, Charles Turner (Melanie) and Michael Turner (Elizabeth) all of Henderson and Silas Turner (Nancy) of Rochester KY and his Father and Mother-in-law, Carson and Sue Mudd of Caneyville. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly, his father, Erdest, a sister Rebecca, and a nephew Bryan.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. (August 5, 2011) at the Old Decker Church in Caneyville. Bro. Larry Lacefield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Welchs Creek (Woodcock) Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and at the Old Decker Church from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of service.
