Maurice W. Kerr, age71 , of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (January 5, 2021) at Norton Brownsboro Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on October 17, 1949 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Earl and Virginia Stevenson Kerr.

He was a retired line worker for Gates Rubber who enjoyed camping, watching ball games, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 51 and a half years, Rita Higdon Kerr; two daughters, Tina Dudgeon (Leonard) and Marcia Kaye Dotson (Alan);   four grandchildren, Amber Newton (Trevor), Ashley Dotson, Allie Dotson, Madison Dudgeon; three great-grandchildren, Kasyn, Karter and Kamden Newton; Nine brothers and sisters, Sam Kerr (Libby), Tom Kerr (Luby), Donna London (Joe), Patsy Scott (Hobert), Nancy Newton, Leroy Kerr (Darlene), Larry Kerr, and Ronald Kerr. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Rita Gail Kerr; a sister-in-law, Anna Jane Kerr; and a brother-in-law Charles Newton.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (January 10, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Gary McGrew will be officiating. Burial will be in the Landis Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
