Maurice Neal Smiley, age 58, of Hudson, KY, passed away Friday, (October 18, 2019) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on May 3, 1961 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of the late Maurice L. and Lenora Mercer Smiley.

He was a fork lift operator and dock supervisor at Metalsa Structural Products. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and any outdoor activity. He loved his "critters", as he called all his animals.

He is survived by his children, Michael Smiley (Santhee) of Caneyville and Felisha Smiley (Eric) of Clarkson; grandchildren, Adian, Avery, Samuel, Westley, Grayson Neal, Isaac Christopher, Carson, Bree, and Collin Riley; fiancé, Mary Johnatta Berry; his ex-wife and mother of his children, Angela Smiley; sister, Angela Parks; brothers, Norman, David and John Smiley; and several other family members and friends.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jim Smiley and sister, Cathy.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (October 22, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Kennith Smiley, Jr. will be officiating. Burial will be in the Smiley Family Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
