Maxine D. Geary, age 92, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Sunday, (October 22, 2023) at Springview Health and Rehabilitation in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on October 27, 1930 in Pine Knob, KY, the daughter of the late MD and Cora P. Shain Doolin.

She was a housewife who enjoyed flowers, gardening and reading. She loved living the farm life and watching westerns.

She is survived by her sons, John Earl, Dannie Thomas, and Mike C. Geary; daughters, Reida Johnson and Tammy Geary-Tabor (Jeff); eleven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Geary; daughter, Darlene Geary; son, Henry Shannon Geary; and two brothers, Elsie and Edward Doolin.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, (October 28, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Murrell Meredith will be officiating. Burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
