Mayron Embry Hayes, age 84, of Brandenburg, KY, passed away Tuesday, (August 25, 2026) in Elizabethtown, KY.

She was born on July 04, 1942 in Caneyville, KY, the daughter of the late Essia and Reva Phelps Embry.

She was a loving mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children, grandchildren, and siblings. She was married to the love of her life Adrian Hayes for 66 years. She also held steadfast to her faith as a General Baptist until health no longer permitted.

She is survived by her husband; Adrian Hayes; four daughters, Cheryl Burress (Darrell), Tina Rhudy (Chuck), Penny Dennis (Ted), Robyn Embry (Mike); 10 grandchildren; Eric, Ryan, Rachel, Natalie, Shelly, Sara, Nicholas, Emmily, Christopher, and Kayla; 27 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Bobby (Joanna) and Odis; four sisters, Judy, Margie (Tony), Janice (Dennis), and Lisa; Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Adrian Maran and Tracy Maran Hayes; two brothers; Dallas and Donnie; one sister-in-law, Debbie, and a brother-in-law, Thurman.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. CST Friday, (August 28, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chuck Rhudy will be officiating. Burial will be in the Welches Creek Cemetery located at 7191 Love Lee Road in Caneyville, KY.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. CST until time of services on Friday
