Michael Lynne Boggs, age 72, of Falls of Rough, Kentucky, passed away Sunday (February 08, 2026) at Little Dave's. He was enjoying having breakfast with his friends, when he was struck by a massive heart attack.
He was born June 11, 1953 in Columbus, Ohio the son of the late Brutus and Marcia Grigsby Boggs.
Mike liked to tease and kid around making people laugh and smile. He was a hard working fabulous man who took great pleasure in taking care of his family, doing for others and devoting his life to serving God. Mike was a member of the Masons at Short Creek Masonic Lodge and the master of the Leitchfield Lodge.
He served as a member of the Royal Arch Masons and served as District Deputy 2024-2025; was a member of Short Creek Eastern Star and Worthy Patron of Leitchfield Eastern Star; A Grand Representative to Maine, and he served as an Associate Patron in Order of the Amaranth
Mike is survived by his wife of 20 years, Kathy Clark Boggs; his children, Michael Jr . (Staica), Tammy Parker (Johnny), Mark Boggs (Ashley), Adam Merica, Angela Flener (Farren), Nick Jones (Sara), Marcia Searson (Nick); 14 grandchildren: Matthew, Mason, Bethany, Austin, Gabe, Brylea, Little Adam, Alex, Christopher Jones, Christopher Parker, Clayton, Brittany, Starr, Zachary and Brooklyn Perez; four sisters, Judy, Joni, Suzi and Tewana, and his faithful companion Gypsy.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Perez; a grandson, Little Michael, and a sister, Mary Anderson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (February 15, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Paul Williams will be officiating. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
An Eastern Star Service will be held at the Dermitt Funeral Home at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, (February 14, 2026) followed by a Masonic Service at 6:00 p.m.
