Michael Ray Duke, age 51 , of Garfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (November 10, 2022) at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on July 31, 1971 in Louisville, KY, the son of Charlotte Southern.

Michael was a musician who enjoyed playing the guitar, song writing, singing and poetry. He enjoyed lottery tickets, U of L sports and the Dallas Cowboys. He was a member of the Victory General Baptist Church.

He is survived by his mother, Charlotte Southern; step-father, Dallas Southern Jr.; sister, Stephanie Rhodes; nieces, Shyann Thompson, Madeline Thompson, and Wynona Eperson; nephew, James Rhodes Jr.; cousins, Heather Rasche, Paul White, Joyce Yarnell, Roxanne Dewitt and Joe Kelmel; Uncle Bruce Anderson; and his best-friend, Bobby Price.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ray and Helen Duke and his aunt, Dianne Kelmel.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (November 12, 2022) at the McGrady Creek Cemetery. Bro. Dallas Southern Jr. will be officiating.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
