Obituary
Michael S Popplewell, age 64, passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013.
He was born on September 3, 1948.
He was retired as a member of the Plumbers, Pipefitters Union Local 502. He enjoyed hot rod cars, his bow and arrow and especially loved his children and grandchildren. He was a member of the St Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe and Dorothy Popplewell and two brothers, David and Jim Popplewell.
Mike leaves to cherish his memories his wife of 38 years, Dianne, three sons, Shane (Nicole), Travis (Ally) and Josh, a daughter, Cassie Ortega (Ryan), four grandchildren, Ryley and Logan Ortega, Cade and Mason Popplewell, his sister, JoAnne Deweese (Bob) and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. CST Monday, (April 1, 2013) at The St. Joseph Catholic in Leitchfield, KY with cremation to follow.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services at the church.
Expressions of sympathy may be donated to Hosparus or your favorite charity.
