Michael Anthony Williams, age 56, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (September 21, 2021) at Owensboro Health in Owensboro, KY.

He was born on February 27, 1965 in Louisville, KY, the son of James E. Williams Sr. and the late Betty Hobbs Hartsell.

A Veteran of the U.S. Navy, Michael was a deputy at the Grayson County Detention Center who enjoyed reading his bible and taking photographs of weddings, landscapes, parades and sporting events. He attended the Church at WJCR in Upton, KY.

He is survived by his parents, James and Janet Williams of Caneyville, KY; a sister, Lori Skaggs, also of Caneyville; a niece, Stephanie Konkle and a nephew, Shawn Konkle, both of Indiana; and a half-sister, Sheila Raybourne of Texas.

He was preceded in death by his birthmother, Betty Jean Hartsell; his step-father, Tommy Hartsell; two brothers, Eddie Raybourne and James Williams Jr.; maternal grandparents, James and Ardie Hobbs; and paternal grandparents, Raymond & Vena Mae Williams;.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (October 1, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Cecil Williams will be officiating. Burial will be in the Williams Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
