Mildred Boone, age 85, of Louisville, KY, passed away Thursday, (March 22, 2012) at the Essex Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center in Louisville.

She was born on January 1, 1927, in Grayson County, Kentucky, the daughter of the late David and Pearl Logsdon Miller. She was a housewife.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Norma Colvin (Thomas) of Louisville, KY and Barbara Sands (Robert) of Huntington, WV, 2 sons Joseph and Dan Boone both of Louisville, KY, 1 sister Thelma Williams of Louisville, KY, 3 brothers J.D. Miller, Leland Miller and Morris Miller (Beverly) all of Leitchfield, 4 grandchildren, Tiffany Lunow (Randy) of Newton, KS, Amber Oliver (Kenny) of Louisville, Robin Murphy (Matt) of Greenville, SC, and David Sands (Caroline) of Huntington, WV, 2 step-grandchildren Lisa Colvin and Melissa O'Brien, and 6 great-grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hugh Boone and 3 siblings.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. CST on Sunday (March 25, 2012) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Joe Brooks will be officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 10:00 a.m. CST Sunday until time of services.
