Mildred Orena Browning, age 100, of Leitchfield KY, passed away Thursday, (April 9, 2009) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

She was born January 23, 1909 in Logan County, KY. She was the daughter of Hayden Robert and Nancy June Pillow. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Leitchfield. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Hall Browning, a grandson, Stephen Browning Elliott, and a great grandson, Jonathan Graham Hatfield.

She was a strong woman who worked in management her entire life. After her retirement, she continued looking for ways to lead, including being a part of the foster grandparent program, tutoring elementary age children and serving as the patient representative at Grayson Manor.

She is loved by four children, Nancye Hatfield, Suzanne Elloitt, Mable Jo Draughon and Daniel Browning (Debbie). She is loved by sixteen grandchildren, thirty three great-grandchildren and eleven great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her companion, her dog, Sosie, who she loved dearly.

II Timothy 4:7;
I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that day, and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing.

Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 a.m. (April 13, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jerry Netherland will be officiating. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green, KY.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
