Obituary
Mildred Jane Patterson, age 81, of Short Creek, KY, passed away Saturday, (November 9, 2013) at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on August 7, 1932 in Grayson County KY, the daughter of the late Gerald Clifton and Myrtle Stevenson Hatfield.
After receiving her Rank 1 Master's Degree from Western Kentucky University, she went on to teach English at Caneyville and Grayson County High School, from which she retired, and was a member of the Short Creek Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Phillip Wayne Patterson Sr., her daughter, Karen Patterson of Louisville, three sons, Phillip Patterson Jr. (Ellen) of Versailles, KY, David Patterson (Lori) and Dennis Patterson (Sandy) both of Short Creek, four grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley and Shallin Patterson and Kirstin Gray and two great grandchildren, Tony Gray and Aidan Patterson.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, (November 13, 2013) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Paul Williams and Bro. Brent Loy will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
