Millie Ann Blain, age 74, of Cecilia, KY, passed away Tuesday, (March 8, 2016) at the University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on October 12, 1941 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Lennie Gilbert and Frances Ree Hayes Duggins.
She was a housewife who enjoyed feeding birds, seek and find puzzles, spending time with children, sewing, gardening and canning. She was a member of the Blueball Baptist Church.
She is survived by her four children, Wendell Blain and Connie Blain Johnson, both of Cecilia, David Blain (Lavetta) of Elizabethtown, KY, and Ronald Blain also of Cecilia; eight grandchildren, Chris A. Blain, Summer Blain Cruse, Brandy Clark, Emily Blain, Dylan Holland, Tristan Holland, Chris O'Neal Blain and Elizabeth Blain; three honorary grandchildren, Chance Whitlock, Jayma Landon Whitlock and Emma Wheeler; three great-grandchildren, Jordan and Kinley Blain, and Chevy Blain; three sisters, Christine Vinson of Paducah, KY, Dorothy Gannaway of Leitchfield, KY, Margaret Logsdon of Falls of Rough, KY, half-sister, Katherine Duke of Louisville, KY; one brother, Walter Ray Duggins of Leitchfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Caldwell Blain; brothers, Carl Dee, James and Colbert Duggins; half-brothers, Cecil, Eugene, and Kenneth Duggins; and a sister, Daisy Lindsey.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. CST Saturday, (March 12, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Mike McGrew will be officiating. Burial will be in the Blueball Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. CST to 7:00 p.m. CST and from 9:00 a.m. CST Saturday until time of services.
