Obituary
Millie Florence Damon, age 87, of Short Creek, KY, passed away Tuesday, (September 23, 2014) at the Norton Brownsboro Hospital, in Louisville.
She was born on May 20, 1927 in Edmonson County, KY, the daughter of the late Alford and Margaret Elizabeth Blair Wilson.
She was a housewife who enjoyed gardening, canning, and quilting. She was a member of the Short Creek Methodist Church.
She is survived by a brother, Cal Wilson of Leitchfield, and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, John Edward Damon; brothers, Brumsbury (Bud), and Oliver Wilson; sisters, Ollie Burns, Vini Bell Turner, Neoma Cook, Buelah Hack, Cassie Lucky, and Dolly Hack.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (September 26, 2014) at the Short Creek Methodist Church. Bro. David Harting will be officiating. Burial will be in the Shady Grove Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday at the funeral home, until time of services at the church.
