Millie J. Dixon, age 70, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Wednesday, (October 29, 2025) at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, KY.

She was born on September 12, 1955 in Bowling Green, KY, the daughter of the late John and Zethie Woosley Dixon.

She lived her life in Caneyville, KY until May of this year, when she moved to the Hub in Bowling Green.

Millie was a 1973 graduate of Caneyville High School. She attended Western Kentucky University and graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Music and Elementary Education as well as a Master's degree in counseling. Millie also had a Pastoral Counseling degree from the Southern Seminary. Millie retired after 30 years in the Grayson County school system as an elementary teacher and counselor.  Millie enjoyed crafting and embroidery and also taught many children and adults piano lessons for many years.

Millie served in several churches in our community, including Caneyville Baptist Church, New Harvest Baptist Church and The Restoration Place.

She is survived by her uncle, Charles Caudill (Janet) of Centerville, TN; her cousin, Wyn Caudill (Charla) of Brownsville, KY; and their children, Lauren McReynolds (Jarad), Steven Caudill (Elizabeth), Matthew Caudill (Kristen), and Daniel Caudill (Caitlin) and their families. Millie is also survived by a host of friends who loved her so much. She considered them her family. Even though she had no children or siblings of her own, she had many who claimed her as their own.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved dog CoCo. Coco was her "baby" and by her side for over 18 years. Coco was sure one loved poodle.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen and a Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (November 8, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Brad Mudd will be officiating.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
