Obituary
Minnie Jane Oakes, age 74, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 27, 2013.
She was born on December 27, 1938 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Dan and Ella Hack Hudson.
Minnie was unique in every way. She loved her family dearly and will be missed by those close to her. She was a housewife, who loved flowers, fishing, swimming and spending time outdoors. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Shrewsbury # 496, and attended Potter's Hope Church.
She is survived by 3 sons, Carl Steven Key and his wife Susan of Florida, Larry Key and his wife Peggy of Louisville, KY and David Key of Leitchfield, 9 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren.
The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to Ashley Pryor for all the love and tender care that she gave Minnie.
Other than her loving parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters Lottie Kippis and Dolly Clark, her brothers Ray and Ben Hudson and her grandchildren Amanda Key and Randy Key.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. noon (CST) Wednesday, (January 30, 2013) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
