Obituary
Mitchell Howard Jr., age 72, of Smiths Grove, KY, passed away Friday, (July 23, 2015) at his residence.
He was born on January 2, 1943 in Garrett, IN, the son of the late Mitchell Sr. and A. Risner Howard.
He was a mechanic and a veteran of the U.S. Army, who enjoyed wood working, fishing and gardening.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Wilma Weedman Howard, and his step-daughter, Maria Riley.
He is survived by a step-son, Jerry Hatalla, of Glasgow, KY, two step-daughters, Tina Strickland (James) of Clinton, TN and Betty Mudd (Jimmy) of Caneyville, KY; 6 grandchildren, Zachary & Jonathan Riley, Evan and Sam Strickland, Ethan Mudd and Joey Hatalla; one sister, Joyce Hogue of Glasgow, and a girlfriend, Charlotte Skaggs, of Smiths Grove, KY.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (July 25, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Hopewell Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
