Myka Chay Geary, age 38, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Tuesday, (September 1, 2026) at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital in Owensboro, KY.

She was born on September 25, 1987, in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of Mike and Debra Pearl Geary.

Myka worked as a Real Estate Agent with Harris Group Realty, serving clients across multiple counties. She also served as Secretary of the Grayson County Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals and took great pride in her hometown and community. She was a mentor to GCHS students who were interested in real estate. Myka genuinely enjoyed helping people from all walks of life. In addition to her real estate career, she operated Bluegrass Framing, a hobby and passion that brought her much enjoyment.

Myka was a bright, kind, and wonderful person with a generous heart. No matter what challenges she faced, she was always willing to lend a helping hand to others. She enjoyed traveling, spending time at the beach, shopping, searching for antiques, admiring old cars, and sharing a good cup of coffee with friends. Of all the places she visited, her favorite place was always at the farm.

Above all else, Myka was devoted to her family. Her children brought her the greatest joy in life, and she was a loving and dedicated mother. She cherished attending rock concerts with Carson and dancing around the house with Anna Sophia. The love she shared with her family and friends will be remembered always.

She is survived by her son Carson Keown of Leitchfield; her daughter, Anna Sophia Keown of Leitchfield; her mother and father, Mike and Debra Geary of Leitchfield; brother, James Farris (Adinna) of Leitchfield; a special nephew, Dakota Farris of Leitchfield; two great nieces, Emberlynn and Elaina Farris; her fiancé, Bryan Earley and his girls, Addy and Caroline; she is also survived by the father of her children, Josh Keown (Brittany) of Leitchfield.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Earl and Maxine Geary and her maternal grandparents, Rex and Louise Pearl.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, (September 9, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Murrell Meredith will be officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Vernon Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday and from 9:00 a.m. Wednesday until time of services.
