Nancy Caryl Lucas, age 75, of Bowling Green, KY, passed away Tuesday, (October 20, 2015) at the Hopkins Center in Woodburn, KY.

She was born on August 25, 1940 in Bath County, KY, the daughter of the late Reverend Leonard Sr. and Lena Parrish Norris.

She worked as a hairdresser, was the past President of American Legion Auxiliary #81, was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Fordsville 226, and was a member of the Church of God. She was an avid supporter (called the Flag Lady) of veterans and active military troops alike, and never stopped donating and supporting even when she had little to give.

She was a loving mother and grandmother; survived by a son, Mark Smith (Amy) of Bowling Green; two daughters, Audrey Cornell (Tommy) and Jennifer Maali (Mohamad) both of Bowling Green; a step son Thomas Lucas of Leitchfield, KY; two step daughters, Barbara Lemmons of Mississippi, Brenda Jeffrey (Jeff) of Owensboro, KY; 6 grandchildren, many step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren; a sister, Betty Johnson (Joseph "Nick") of Owensboro; and a foster brother Ronnie Aubrey (Shannon) of Madisonville, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lucas; a brother, Leonard Norris Jr.; a foster brother Donnie Aubrey; and a step great grandchild.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (October 24, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jeff Jeffrey will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
