Nathan A. Clark, age 84, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (December 05, 2018) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on October 29, 1934 in Flint, MI, the son of the late Archie and Lillian Hiendlmayr Clark and moved to Indiana ten years later. He graduated from Himera High School and served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 before graduating from Indiana State University and studying at the University of Louisville.
He worked in various industries as a mechanical engineer and retired from Campbell Hausfeld in January of 1995. He enjoyed sailing, biking, RV travel and spending time with his family and was a member of Leitchfield United Methodist Church and of the Leitchfield Lions Club for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Harriet Clark of Leitchfield; two daughters, Carla Clancy of Owensboro, KY and Amber Silman of Leitchfield; six grandchildren, Sarah Mahoney (Andy), Will Clancy, Ryan Clancy, Charlie Silman (Alyssa Robbinette), Allie Silman and Isabella Silman; and three great-grandchildren, Charley Silman, Madison Mahoney and Jasper Silman.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Barbara Wilcut Clark, a son-in-law, Buddy Silman; and a sister, Katherine Smith.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (December 08, 2018) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
