Nelda Elaine Volz, age 74, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Friday, (January 28, 2022) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on February 2, 1947 in McLean County, KY, the daughter of the late Boyd Augustine and Evaline Williams Willis.

She was the Director of Volunteer Services for the hospital and a tax preparer for H&R Block. She enjoyed arranging flowers, cross-stitching and making quilts. She attended Macedonia Church.

She is survived by her sisters, Rhonda Fulkerson (Mark) of Falls of Rough, and Carol Harper of Lewisport, KY; a brother, Boyd Augustine "Buddy" Willis Jr. (Hilda) also of Lewisport; and a brother-in-law Hobert Whitmer of Sacramento, KY. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Charles Allen Volz; a sister, Donna Lou Whitmer; and a brother-in-law Jimmie Harper.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (February 5, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
