Nell B. Foley, age 87, of Jacksonville, Florida, formerly of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (April 18, 2012) at Some Place Like Home in Jacksonville, Florida.
She was born on December 15, 1924, in Carthage, TN, the daughter of the late Shorty and Annie Mae Green Gwyn. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed growing her beautiful flowers. She and her late husband, DC Foley, loved visiting the churches in the area, and making new friends, all of which grew to love them both. She was a member of the Short Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by four sons, Rodney Dale (Linda) and Lester Ray (Lilly) Sanford both of Jacksonville, Florida, David G. Bibee of Louisville, and Daryl T. Bibee of Lexington; two step-daughters, Marsha Kay Foley and Sherry Lynn Harshfield, both of Louisville; and two step-sons, Ronald Dale Foley of Georgia, and Timothy Alan Foley of Louisville. She is also survived by several grandchildren, one of whom is Mark Foley.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dulan "DC" Foley, and one brother, Dale Gwyn.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday (April 23, 2012) at the Short Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday (April 22, 2012) and at the church from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
