Nell Jean Logsdon, age 87, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (December 08, 2023) at Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.

She was born on January 02, 1936 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Evan and Stella Anderson Fulkerson.

She retired from Britthaven South Nursing Facility where she was the activities director for more than 20 years. She found joy and zest in her life through her strong faith and church family, travelling the country and seeking adventure with her closest friends Jerry & Juanita Cox, fishing, and spoiling her grandchildren any chance she could. She and was a member the Eastern Star and a member & past Grand Royal Matron of the Order of Amaranth, where she dedicated countless hours toward baking candy and bread for community events to raise money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund (JDRF). She was a dedicated member of the Penile Baptist Church in Fairdale, KY.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas and Michael Logsdon; two grandchildren, Sarah Teeters (Jay) and Christopher Logsdon (Anna McGriff); four great-grandchildren, Stella & Addington Teeters, Addison Logsdon and Kara Olver. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen Logsdon; a brother, Joe Fulkerson; and five sisters, Lillian Blanton, Virginia Keown, Lorain King, Louise Williams & Doris Helton.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. CST on Friday, (December 15, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. John Sherlock will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. CST on Friday until time of services.
