Obituary
Nellie Mae Childress, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (August 22, 2012) at the Springview Nursing and Rehab Facility in Leitchfield, Kentucky.
She was born on October 27, 1931, in Kurran, Illinois, the daughter of the late Thomas and Maude Mae Pittman Davis.
She was a homemaker and attended the Claggett United Baptist Church.
She is survived by two sons, Clyde Thomas, and Gerald Warren (Kathy) all of Leitchfield; five grandchildren, Joey, Jamie, Jason, Jessica, and Molly Mae; one great-grandchild, Makayla; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Patrick Childress; one son, Marty Dale Childress; and one daughter, Julie Ann Decker.
A private family graveside service was held. Burial was in the Claggett Cemetery. Bro. Chester Shartzer officiated the service.
