Neoma Elaine Cook, age 59, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (August 28, 2014) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.

She was born on November 26, 1954 in Grayson Co, KY, the daughter of Oscar and Nelma Newton Decker.

She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and worshiping at her church; she was a retired assembly person at Campbell Hausfield and was a member of the Claggett United Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Elroy Cook, two sons, Steve Cook of Clarkson, KY and Paul Cook of Leitchfield, one daughter, Angela VanMeter (Jonathan) of Leitchfield, three grandchildren, Logan, Mason and Isabella VanMeter, her mother, Nelma Decker of Leitchfield, four brothers, Gilbert of Indiana, Robert of Clarkson, Ronnie and Timmy Decker both of Leitchfield, six sisters, Faye Sego of Louisville, KY, Betty Saltsman, Ina Green, Josie Chambers, Diane Ward and Charlene Downs all of Leitchfield,.

She was preceded in death by: two grandchildren, Ashton VanMeter and Garrett Cook, her father, Oscar Decker, three brothers and a sister, Orin, Oscar Jr. and Harold Decker and Mary McGrew.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, (September 1, 2014) at the Claggett United Baptist Church in Leitchfield. Bro. Cecil Williams and Bro. Garry Watkins will be officiating. Burial will be in the Claggett Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. until 12 noon on Monday and at the church from 12 noon Monday until time of services.
