Norma Frances Jeffries, age 79, of Louisville, KY, entered into eternal life on Wednesday, (June 1, 2016) at the Jewish Hospital in Louisville.
She was born on July 17, 1936, in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Willie and Edith Miller Howard.
She was a home maker, who loved to cook. She began cooking at the early age of four. No one left her home hungry. She also loved flowers, gardening, and being with her family. She adored her great-granddaughter, Paige. She had been married to her late husband, Rex for thirty-eight years. She was of the Baptist faith.
She is survived by her sons, David and Vonnyle Jeffries; daughters, Lisa White (Robbie), Sherry Guinn (Tom), and Tammy Coogle (Dennis), all of Louisville; grandchildren, Savanna Jeffries, Cody Coogle, Evan Guinn, and Abbigail Coogle; great-granddaughter, Paige Guinn; three brothers, Wayne and Vance Howard both of Big Clifty, and Eddie Howard (Jerri), of Radcliff; and two sisters, Ramona and Deanna Skees Howard both of Big Clifty..
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Evan (Rex) Jeffries, infant son, Ronnie Eugene Jeffries, brother, Huel Howard, and her loving sister, Bernadine Jeffries.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (June 4, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Rev. Jimmy Sutton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. noon, to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services. All times are CST.
