Norma Jean McGrew, age 53, of Bardstown, KY, passed away Sunday, (August 25, 2024) at her residence.

She was born on February 8, 1971 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late
Junior Wavey and Barbara Mae Samuels McGrew.

She was a 1989 graduate of Grayson County High School and graduated from University of Kentucky in 1993, majoring in social work. Norma Jean enjoyed working puzzles, and playing computer games. She had such a big heart and opened up her home to anyone who needed a place to stay. She was always loving and forgiving. In her youth Norma Jean attended Antioch Baptist Church before moving away.

She is survived by her siblings, Barbara Offutt (Jim), Vickie Logsdon
(Ernie), Roger McGrew (Pam), Robert Spaulding, Elaine Lashley (Glen), Thomas Spaulding (Debi), Timothy McGrew (Angie), Junior McGrew, Jr. (Lisa), and Joyce Simon; several nieces and nephews, and also several great nieces and great nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Wynetta Carr, Doloris Hall, and Dina McGrew; and her brothers, Danny and Darrell McGrew and Alex Spaulding.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (August 31, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Neil Carnes will be officiating. Burial will be in the McGrew Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
