Odell Winchell, age 73, of Millwood, KY, passed away Wednesday, (September 17, 2014) at Grayson Manor, in Leitchfield.

He was born on July 13, 1941 in Edmonson County, KY, the son of the late Clyde Dewey and Eva Mae Whobrey Winchell.

He was a concrete laborer for Sullivan Cozart, who enjoyed hunting and yard work. He had attended Sunny Point General Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Roof Winchell of Millwood; son, Marvin Winchell of Millwood; grandson, William Joseph Winchell; two great-grandchildren, Kristen Rain Winchell, and Olivia Nicole Winchell; two brothers, Harlan and Walter Winchell; one sister, Donna Jean Ferguson; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than his parents he is preceded in death by two brothers, Oneil and Curt Winchell.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (September 20, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
