Obituary
Opal R. Boone, age 72, of, Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (August 7, 2015) at the Nortons Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on September 14, 1942 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late H.H. "Bud" and Ruby Byers Boone.
She worked as a hospital secretary for twenty years, who enjoyed reading and working crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Alicia McGaha Carter of Clarkson, KY; two sons, Scott McGaha of Dayton, OH and Todd McGaha of Leitchfield; two grandchildren, Clinton and Shannon Carter both of Clarkson; two sisters, June Purcell of Caneyville, KY and Dianne Scott of Leitchfield and a long-time companion, Mike Zeoli.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, David Boone.
Cremation was chosen.
The family would like to invite friends and family to a celebration of Opal's life on September 12, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the Centre on Main in Leitchfield, KY.
