Obituary
Ora Mae Raymer, age 92, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Wednesday, (November 27, 2013) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
She was born on February 26, 1921 in Caneyville, KY, the daughter of the late Eck and Liza Smith Mudd.
She was a homemaker and loved cooking for friends and family and who was especially noted for her "Fried Pies". She was one of the oldest members of Rabbit Flat Church.
She is survived by four step children; Lemar Tomes (Cathy), Loretta Pierce (Randall), Wayne Tomes (Wanda) and Clifton Tomes (Robin), 9 step grandchildren, 2 special friends that are also her sisters-in-law, Elsie Raymer and Jewel Tomes, several beloved nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands, Bud Raymer and Harlan Tomes, she was also preceded in death by her siblings; Janie, Leona, Chole, Anderson "Diddle", Martha, Virgle, Ernest, Vernie and Eugene "Gene".
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (November 30, 2013) at the Rabbit Flat General Baptist Church in Caneyville. Bro. Clifton Tomes will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rabbit Flat Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and at the church from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
