Ova Doyle Haycraft, age 86, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Friday, (January 5, 2007) in Madisonville, KY.
He was born on May 12, 1920, in Grayson County, KY, the son of Ralph and Jannie Hayse Haycraft. He was retired from the United States Army and the United States Air Force. He was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. While serving his country he was awarded two Purple Hearts along with many other medals of honor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Adis Decker Haycraft and one daughter, Juanita "Puddin" Haycraft. He is survived by two sisters Jeanette Bishop and Imogene Raymer, one son, Dennis Haycraft and daughter in Law Terri Haycraft and one daughter, Donna Haycraft, three grandsons, Steve, Tommy and Grant Haycraft, two granddaughters, Laura Baxter and Grace Haycraft. Also surviving are six great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Sunday (January 14, 2007) at the McGrew Church with burial immediately following in the McGrew Church Cemetery.
