Oveda Rae Strasburger, age 70, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Monday (January 6, 2009) in Morgantown, KY.
She was born on February 22, 1938, in Butler Co., KY, the daughter of the late Lawrence Daniel and Opla Pharris Smith.
She was a housewife and was a member of the Smalls Grove Church.
She is survived by her husband, Donald, two sons, Barry J. Strass (Monica) of Boulder, CO and Dennis Strasburger (Angie) of Caneyville, one daughter, Robin Felix of Caneyville, one brother, Harold Smith of Caneyville, two sisters, Doretta Burden and Veneda Miller both of Morgantown, five grandchildren, Lauren Goins (Kyle), Jarrod Huff, J. J. Kiper, Canaan Dupin and Allyson Felix and one great grandchild, Greenlee Goins.She was preceded in death by one sister, Gayla Daughterty.
Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 a.m. (January 9, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Rev. Randall Deweese will be officiating. Burial is in the Smith Home Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and after 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of service.
