Owen L. Davis, age 88, of Radcliff, KY (formerly of Leitchfield), passed away Thursday, (July 20, 2017) at his home.

He was born on March 31, 1929 in Sadler, KY, the son of the late Stanford and Mary Whobrey Davis.

He was a saw mill operator who also worked as a logger with his father-in-law, Irving Carnes. He enjoyed bike riding and rabbit hunting.

He is survived by his daughter, Ann Milliner (Jane) of Radcliff; one grandchild, Kalynn Vincent (Austin) of Smiths Grove, KY; two great-grandchildren, Kataleana Rose-Marie Vincent and Haskel Buddy-Hyde Vincent, both of Smiths Grove; a brother, Lawrence Davis (Wayne) of Illinois; and his longtime pet companion of 13 years, Krickett. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Edith Carnes Davis; an infant son; an infant grandson; six brothers, Chester, Leonard, Carl, Homer, Leslie and Jefferson Davis; and two sisters, Iline Decker and Goldie Mae Davis Deweese.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 p.m. CST Saturday, (July 29, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Charlie Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lile Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. CST on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. CST Saturday until time of services.
