Patricia Kay Thompson, age 85, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (October 7, 2026) at her home.

She was born on November 10, 1940, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Jesse Williams and Lillian Cozine Williams.

She was a generous and giving soul who loved donating to charities and helping others whenever she could. A true animal lover, she was the proud owner of The Clipping Post dog grooming salon, where her love for animals shined through. She was also a member of the Leitchfield Chapter Order of the Eastern Star #26 and a Lady Shriner. One of the sweetest parts of her life was marrying her high school sweetheart on February 12, 1060, beginning a lifetime of love and memories together.

She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Everett Thompson; one daughter, Lynn Ponder; three grandchildren, Jacob Young (Erin), Kati Mummaneni (Sunny) and Sarah Stump (Chris); and six great-grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Jimmy Thompson, a granddaughter, Erica Brown, and In-Laws, Opal and Elmer Thompson.
