Patsy Ann Smith, age 74, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 31, 2025) at Baptist Health-Floyd Hospital in New Albany, Indiana.

She was born on, March 17, 1951 in Neafus, Butler County, KY, the daughter of the late Deward Woosley and her surviving mother, Annetta Miller Woosley.

She was a licensed practical nurse in her younger years, graduating from Central KY Area Vocational School in Lexington, KY. She had worked at the hospital in Hartford, KY, now Ohio County Hospital. She also worked as a private nurse. She married her husband, Harold Smith on March 21, 1975. She home schooled their children and enjoyed being a homemaker. She loved being a mom and grandmother. She was a good listener, comforted anyone in need, loved all people, and had a big heart. She loved flowers and decorating. Patsy studied the Word, and loved the Lord with her whole heart. She was a member of the Apostolic Faith since her teens.

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Harold Daniel Smith of Caneyville; her mother, Annetta Miller Woosley; three children, LaDawn Nicole Lucas (Danny) of Leitchfield, Chasity Ann Jones (Phillip) of Pekin, IN, and Joshua Daniel Smith (Desiree) of Waipahu, Hawaii; six grandchildren, Isaiah and Isaac Lucas, Booker Smith, and Charity, Zion, and Micah Jones; and also several foster grandchildren.

Other than her father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Billy Joe Woosley, and grandparents, Clarence and Beulah Miller, and Cornelius and Lora Woosley.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, (June 6, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Dwight Jones and Bro. Delbert Dockery will be officiating. Burial will be in the Smith Home Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
