Obituary

Pauletta Kay Mudd, age 77, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Sunday, (March 3, 2024) at Heartford House in Owensboro, KY.

She was born on December 14, 1946 in Indianapolis, IN, the daughter of the late Harold Tyler and Annabelle Smith.

She was a housewife who enjoyed painting, crocheting, quilting, building dollhouses, music ministry and visitation at the nursing home and enjoyed bingo. She was a member of the Falls of Rough Baptist Church.

She is survived by her son, Paul Butler Jr. (Patricia); daughters, Terrie Vincent and Angela Elmore (Alvin Jr. "Bubby"); seventeen grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Russell West and William "Butch" West Jr. both of Indianapolis; sisters, Cathy Thek (Joe) of Florida, Debbie Denker (Kurt), Edna McKee, and Shelley Chocklett (Tim) all of Indianapolis; her best-friends, Kim Baxter, Ruby Scott, Vicky Downs, Lori Lindsey, and Linda Ernspiker. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Dean Mudd; two sons, Harold Butler and William Allen Butler; adoptive father, William West Sr.; and one great-grandson, Ethan Oller; and her first husband, Paul Madison Butler Sr.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (March 9, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 9:00 a.m. on Saturday until time of services.
