Obituary
Pearl Forbes Raine, 85, formerly of Leitchfield, KY, died Friday, February 22, 2008, in Louisville.
She was born Dec. 31, 1922, in Morgantown, WV, the daughter of the late Carl Hayes Forbes and Olga Waage Forbes. She was a retired music educator and attended First Cumberland Presbyterian Church of Leitchfield. Her husband of 48 years, James M. Raine, Jr., predeceased her.
She is survived by her brother, Carl Hayes Forbes, Jr., of Scottdale, PA; her children, James Montgomery Raine, III (Vicki), of Parkville, MO; Carl Randall Raine (Lucy) of Lexington, KY; and Martha Raine Durbin of Louisville, KY; and her seven grandchildren. The family thanks the staff of Brownsboro Hills Healthcare and Plaza.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2008, at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Leitchfield. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any gifts be made to the charity of one's choice.
