Peggy Sue Perrine, age 68, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday, (June 2, 2026) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes Hospital in Leitchfield.

She was born on January 24, 1958, in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Paul and Margie Elizabeth Basham Perrine.

Peggy worked as a registered nurse at Elizabethtown Nursing and Rehab. She was very dedicated and passionate about caring for others and wanted to be the voice of the residents at the nursing home, and wanted the best of care for them. She was always willing to help those in need. She enjoyed fishing, spending time with her family, and loved to build various things with Lego Sets.

She is survived by her sister, Marcia Robinson of Maryland; her companion, Wendy Drake of Clarkson; her step-son, Aaden Cole; and several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Tristan Cole.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her adopted son; her brother, Paul Edward Perrine, and her sister, Louise “Sissy” Hermes.

At Peggy’s request, cremation was chosen, and will be under the direction of Dermitt Funeral Home.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
