Pendleton Loyd Decker, age 53, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (July 25, 2023) at Bowling Green Medical Center.

He was born on February 05, 1970 in Kansas, the son of the late Loyd and Sandra Judson Decker.

He retired from the Grayson County School System working 30 years as a custodian.  He then worked at the Grayson County Detention Center for 22 years. He loved to work. He enjoyed riding his side by side, and his tractor with his granddaughter, Hazel, who was the light of his life. He also loved sitting on his porch enjoying the scenery, and shooting his guns. He graduated from Grayson County High School.

He is survived by his loving long-time companion, Debra Decker; his brother, Eugene Decker (Betty); his sons, Luke Decker (Rachel McMahan and Cole Decker (Tracie Perez); his granddaughter, Hazel Decker; and his nephew, Joe Decker.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Green Berry Decker and Clara Mae Bryant Decker.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, (August 3, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Arland Benningfield will be officiating. Burial will be in the Decker Family Cemetery on Grant Road in Leitchfield.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday (August 2) and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday (August 3) until time of services.

The family requests that the lounge be closed and no food or drink be brought into the funeral home.
