Penny Lynn Kinser, age 53, of Leitchfield, KY passed away Wednesday, (May 18, 2022) at Owensboro Health in Owensboro, KY.

She was born on November 25, 1968 in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Gary and Patricia Rose Schmidt.

She retired from hiring and training at Wal-Mart where she worked for many years.

She is survived by her sons, Jared Wasson and Matthew Stone, both of Leitchfield; a daughter, Inanna Stone, also of Leitchfield; three grandchildren, Bralynn Shea Harrell, Cassian Miles Stone, and Matilda May Wolford; a sister, Paige Burden (Joseph) of Falls of Rough. Six nieces and nephews, Jamie Gall, Kara Gall-Carson (Damian), Noah Lawson, Michael Lawson, Brian Burden (Abby), Rorie Burden, and Fynle Burden also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Preston Wayne Wasson.

In keeping with her wishes, cremation was chosen and a private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
