Phillip Higdon, age 56, of Lewisport, KY, passed away Tuesday, (May 13, 2025) in Owensboro, KY.

He was born on February 10, 1969, in Grayson County, KY, the son of Juley Ellen Mercer Higdon, and his late father, Ambrose Higdon.

Phillip enjoyed playing BINGO, reading, and loved to go shopping when he was able.  He loved the outdoors and nature. He was a kind and sweet person, who loved helping others. He was very generous and a giver to others. Phillip was very soft spoken and was loved by all his friends. He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his mother, Juley Ellen Higdon; six brothers, Charles Thomas, Jerry Wayne, Tommy Lee, William Junior, Raymond Nace, and Joseph Higdon, along with several nieces and nephews.  Phillip will be greatly missed by his many friends at Oaks Personal Care Home in Lewisport, KY.

Other than his father, Ambrose Higdon, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Ray Higdon.

Cremation was chosen and will be under the direction of Dermitt Funeral Home.
