Phillip Wayne Patterson Sr., age 91, of Short Creek, KY, passed away Wednesday, (September 28, 2016) at his home.

He was born on September 30, 1924, in Short Creek, KY, the son of the late Doyle and Alta Lynne Bradshaw Patterson.

He was a retired heavy equipment operator, who enjoyed Farming, gardening and was an avid UK fan; He was a member of the Short Creek Masonic Lodge # 744, the Shriners, a longtime supporter of the Kosair Charities, the Grayson County Cattleman's Association and was a member of Short Creek Methodist Church.

He is survived by a daughter, Karen Patterson of Louisville, KY, three sons, Phillip Wayne Patterson Jr (Ellen) of Versailles, KY, David Patterson (Lori) of Falls of Rough, KY and Dennis Patterson (Sandy) of Short Creek, four grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley and Shallin Patterson and Kirstin Gray, and five great-grandchildren, Tony Gray, Aidan, Karleigh, Alexia and Elijah Patterson.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (October 1, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Paul Williams will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

The Short Creek Masonic Lodge will hold a Masonic Service at 6:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
