Obituary

Phillip Ray Seaton, age 74, of Brownsville, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 24, 2025) at Hospice House of Southern KY in Bowling Green, KY.

He was born on January 26, 1951 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Noval Ray and Nelda Woosley Seaton.

He was a Church of Christ minister for most of his life. He also taught special needs children as a school teacher. Phillip enjoyed watching sports and listening to the news on television. He married his wife, Linda Boyer Seaton on March 29, 2014. He was a member of the Clarkson Church of Christ.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Seaton of Brownsville, KY; sons,  John Seaton of Lexington Park, Maryland, Jesse Seaton (Cortney) of Ridgeville, South Carolina, and Jimmy Seaton (Lauren) of Pawleys Island, South Carolina; grandchildren,  Jason, Jacob, Monica, William, and Ethan, children of John Seaton; Halle and  Gavin, children of Jesse and Cortney Seaton; Collin, Mack, and Brynn, children of Jimmy and Lauren Seaton; step-daughter, Margaret Shields; brother, Kendall (Kathy) Seaton; and his sister, Judith (Jane) Seaton Brown (Tommy). Several nieces and nephews also survive.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, (June 8, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday (June 7, 2025) and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
