Phyllis Ann Ryan Bowling, age 76 , of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Sunday, (November 20, 2022) at her home.

She was born on March 24, 1946 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Rosella Raley Ryan.

She was a retired Captain from the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office who enjoyed music, singing, boating, and spending time with friends, family and especially her grandchildren. She was a member and past president of the Kentucky Sheriff's FOP Lodge #25, the Friends of Rough River, and St. Anthony Catholic Church at Axtel.

She is survived by her husband, William Bowling of Falls of Rough; three daughters, Kimberly Brendle (Allen) of Louisville, Rayna Flatguard (Eric) of Greenville, KY, and Dana Sneed of Falls of Rough; two step-daughters, Tina Tomasulo of Louisville, KY, and Debbra Nawert (Charles) of Versailles, KY; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers, Bill, Ed, Joe and Steve Ryan; and four sisters, Barbara May, Helen Kindler, Mary Jane Ryan and Vicki Kupper. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Ryan.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (November 28, 2022) at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel. Father Thomas will be conducting the service with burial in the St. Anthony Catholic Church Cemetery at Axtel.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
