Obituary
Phyllis Jean Atkinson Webb, age 80, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (May 14, 2016) at the Hosparus Inpatient Care Center in Louisville, KY.
She was born on March 02, 1936 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Edward and Otha Pharris Atkinson.
A proud marine wife, an animal lover, and avid reader who loved learning about local history, she worked as a docent for the Jack Thomas House and was a member of Clearview Baptist Church.
She is survived by her sister, Sara Jane Williams and her husband, TJ, of Valley Station, KY; two nieces, Kathie and Kimberly Williams, and three nephews, Jimmy, Eddie and Doug Woodrum.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Hoye Webb, her much beloved son, Ron Webb, a sister, Phoebe Woodrum; and a brother Hudnal Snodgrass.
Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Thursday, (May 19, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
