Obituary
Preston Samuel Burnette, age 89, of Leitchfield KY, passed away Monday, (May 18, 2009) at his residence.
He was born on February 4, 1920, in Duff, KY, the son of Hosea Thomas and Viola Palestine Overton Burnett. He was a farmer and a World War II Veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie Laug Burnette, two daughters, Mary Burnette of Franklin, KY and Janey Dalrymple (Brian) of Virginia, two grandchildren, Morgan Rose and Olivia Grace Dalrymple and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Darlene and Prestine.
Funeral services will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. (May 21, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
