Preston Albert Noblett, age 88, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (March 19, 2009) at the Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, KY.

He was born on November 3, 1920, in Grayson County KY, the son of John Walter and Tida May Kiper Noblett. He was a retired farmer, a World War 2 Army veteran and was a member of the Pine Knob Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Reba Lynn Noblett , three sons, Asa, Samuel (Freda) and Robert (Carolyn) Noblett all of Leitchfield, KY, two daughters, Lynda (James) Dudgeon of Caneyville and Patricia Noblett of Leitchfield, a brother, Robert Finley Noblett of Leitchfield, a sister, Mary Marie Willis of Leitchfield, eight grandchildren, three step grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren and a special friend, Gary Roberts. He was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Jeff Basham and Sandra Noblett and one great grandchild, Coby Payton.

Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. (March 24, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Jerry Vincent and Sonny Fields will be officiating. Burial with military honors will be in the Duff Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday, from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
